Meet Our Team
Mike Couch, President & Co-Owner
Mike began his career with us in 1995. He obtained a Bachelors Degree from Millikin University. He has completed numerous building industry and product continuing education courses including Marvin Window and Door Company’s Advanced Commercial and Residential Design and Analytic Specialties Training, Andersen Windows and Doors Repair & Service Training, among others. His training enables him to facilitate builders and architects in finding the products that match the aesthetic and functional design of their project. He specializes in commercial and historic projects. He has extensive knowledge of where to procure hard to find products and is the “go to guy” for our entire staff.
Shawn Spain, Vice President & Co-Owner, Contractor Sales
Shawn began his career with us in 2003 and worked until 2006 before moving on to a local general contractor to run the day-to-day operations of that company. In August 2014 he returned with additional knowledge and expertise in home building/commercial construction. In addition to this background, he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Easter Illinois University. Shawn will be focusing on coordination all installed sales projects along with assisting in the building process of residential and commercial projects.
Alan Hupp
Alan comes to us with over 35 years of experience in the millwork industry. He started his career at Mogan Sash & Door as on order correspondent, then was promoted to outside sales person in Peoria, Il. Morgan was a distributor for Andersen Windows, Therma-Tru doors, interior doors, Stair parts and other millwork items. After a few years in Peoria, Alan returned to the Decatur Area, and continued as a sales representative for Morgan. In 1999, Andersen Windows bought Morgan Sash & Door, and Alan remained as the Andersen Sales Representative in Central Illinois until recently. Alan is a graduate of Argenta-Oreana High School and has a Bachelor’s Degree from Millikin University. Alan currently serves as President of the Metro Decatur Home Builder’s Association.
Adam Harrington
Prior to coming to Huff Lumber & Home Specialties, Adam worked for four years for a small powder coating company where he was the floor manager. Prior to that, Adam worked for UPS Freight as the inbound supervisor. He has a ton of manufacturing and supervision experience. Adam is also an Army Veteran and is the Medical Officer for the South Wheatland Fire Department. Adam has been an EMT for 26 years and has been married for 12 years.
Ryan Morlan
Ryan joined Huff Lumber & Home Specialties in 2017. Ryan is a certified Andersen and Marvin installer. He installs interior and exterior doors including patio doors. He also installs windows of any size. Customers love having Ryan in their homes. He receives numerous compliments and praises about his workmanship, work ethic and positive personality. Ryan loves spending time with his wife, kids and grandson in his free time.
Lisa Frazee
Lisa is new to the design department at Huff Lumber & Home Specialties, specializing in kitchen and bath remodels and sales. Lisa comes to us with a strong background in construction and carpentry, as well as design and production management. She is the owner and operator of Reclaimed Soul Construction LLC. She is a graduate of St Teresa High School and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing from Illinois State University. Lisa is a Veteran of the US Army.
